nw gluten-free resources

In case you are new to being gluten-free in the greater Seattle area I put together this list…

Bakeries

Haley’s Corner Bakery

dedicated gluten free, & delicious but only a couple of items are vegan, but the vegan loaves of bread are worth the trip

10216 Southeast 256th Street
Kent, WA 98030-6437
(253) 852-4486

Open Tue-Sat 9am-6pm

Wheatless in Seattle (aka DaVinci)

dedicated gluten free & mostly vegan and even some rice-free things if you are so inclined

10003 Greenwood Avenue North
Seattle, WA 98133-9137
(206) 782-5735

Open Mon-Sat 8am-5pm; Sun 8am-3pm

New Cascadia Traditional

#1 in deliciousness, dedicated gluten free, many many vegan choices. I would almost move back to Portland just for this bakery…

1700 Southeast 6th Avenue, Portland, OR (503) 546-4901

Flying Apron Bakery

dedicated both gluten free & vegan but not the yummiest if you ask us. everything is kinda rustic if you know what I mean. heavy, earthy, kind of tastes like what people who feel sorry for us think all our food tastes like.

3510 Fremont Avenue North
Seattle, WA 98103
(206) 442-1115

Open Mon-Wed 7am-7pm; Thu-Sun 7am-8pm

Blackbird Bakery

haven’t been here yet

210 Winslow Way East, Bainbridge Isle, WA 98110 (206) 780-1322 ‎

Restaurants:

Friesenburgers

awesome! this place serves gluten free because they have a young friend of the family with allergies so they are very conscientious about cross contamination.

308 East 26th Street
Tacoma, WA 98421
(253) 203-6753

Open Mon 11am-3pm; Tue-Sat 10:30am-7pm

Garlic Jim’s Pizza

closed! supposedly it will be reopening under new management but it doesn’t look like it from the street.

4520 California Ave SW,  Seattle, WA 98116 (multiple other locations serve Gluten-Free)

Z Pizza

we don’t 100% trust the gluten-free quality since this is not a dedicated facility and the employees don’t seem to be the sharpest tools in the shed. but it’s tasty & so far we have not gotten ill from eating there 3 times.

1620 Broadway, Seattle, WA (206) 432-9158

Bison Creek Pizza

not worth it. we used to go here and they would get our order wrong every time. Once they even brought us a gluten pizza which I could tell just by looking at the puffy bubbly crust so we avoided that disaster.

630 SW 153rd St # F, Burien, WA (206) 244-8825

Porterhouse

delicious, they only sometimes have gluten free buns though, but you can always get the atkins style lettuce wrap if they are out.

2329 California Ave, Seattle, WA (206) 932-2575

Uneeda Burger
